Concurrent College Enrollment

Credit toward high school graduation for courses taken at a university or college may be granted to a student enrolled in a senior high school under the following conditions:
  • The student is responsible for obtaining approval from the high school counseling office before enrolling in college classes.
  • The counselor will indicate whether the course will receive high school credit along with college credit or only college credit.
  • Students who take college courses without the permission of their counselor will not be given high school credit
  • The student must have exhausted all opportunities to enroll in an equivalent course at NHHS
  • Prior to enrollment, the student makes written application to the appropriate college office indicating that he or she is seeking high school credit in addition to college credit.
  • After successfully completing the course, the student must furnish his/her high school counselor with an official transcript from the college or university. A report card is not sufficient.
